Starting the day with the right mindset can have a tremendous impact on the rest of the day. Include these questions in your Morning Journal for a more focused, organized, and happier day.

1. What am I grateful for today?

Beginning the day with gratitude will set your mind to start appreciating all the little things throughout the day.

Write down a few things you’re truly grateful for. Deeply embody the feeling of gratitude for these things. Asking yourself “How would your life be without it?”, can help you trigger a true sense of gratitude.

Gratitude brings you back to the present moment and helps keep you away any worries.

2. What am I excited about today?

Answering this question will make look for all the exciting things happening in your life. If you end up thinking that there’s nothing exciting going on, then there’s a lesson to be learned. You either need to pay more attention to the little things, or you may need to start embracing new challenges, step out your comfort zone, and do something that scares or excites you.

3. What do I commit to improving today?

Progress brings us joy. Working on ourselves is the best investment we can ever make.

The first step is to write down a list of things you want to improve about yourself, whether it is a skill, a personal attribute, a bad habit, or a new quality you want to develop.

Writing this down every morning will work as a reminder. Commit to one, maximum two things per day, and stick with these for as long as you need until you fully develop the new skill/habit.

4. What do I commit to achieving today?

“By failing to prepare, you are preparing to fail.”
– Benjamin Franklin

Having a daily To-Do list will help you to focus on the things you should be doing. Create a monthly and weekly plan. Breakdown this plan into small, actionable tasks and prioritise them accordingly.

5. Daily affirmation – What is my vision?

Write down a sentence that clearly states a vision that you have for your life.

The main purpose of this exercise is to keep you focused on your goals, keep away any doubts and reaffirm your intention and determination to achieve them. Once you do this, your brain will start looking for any opportunities or events that relate to your vision and work towards that.

Answering these questions every morning will help you to start each day with purpose, focus, and gratitude. Make them part of your Morning Journal and witness the impact it can have on the quality of your life.
